You Are The Hero Of Your Life
Diary Notes of Pradeep
A young man arrives at my door for anxiety issues that he is facing. On our first meeting I ask him about his profession. He states he is an actor. I ask him what is his wish that he has that he feels is impossible to fulfil but if fulfilled will make him very, very happy. “I want to act on Broadway,” he tells me. He comes to me two more times. On our third and last meeting, He comes into my office, ecstatic. He tells me he has been invited for a role in Broadway and that he has to leave Ireland soon. I do not hear from him again.
A young man comes to me for being in financial trouble. There is a six- digit bank overdraft hanging on his head. Business is not doing well. He does not know what to do. Life is extreme stress. There are also family difficulties because of financial problems. I ask him what is his wish. He says he wants the bank debt to be paid off. I say to him that it is possible. But I do not know how that will happen or when that will happen. But it will happen. He looks for a guarantee from me. I don’t give him any guarantees because in medicine we are taught to work with possibilities. There are no guarantees. He worked with me diligently. Six months later, we parted ways. He had not only paid off his debt, he had a six -figure sum sitting in his bank account.
A middle- aged working lady comes to me for health -related issues she cannot sort out. She finds her job stressful and difficult. She is also undergoing a bad time with her husband from whom she wants to separate. They are living in the same house but living independently. She is comparatively timid and the husband is a rough, pushy guy. He deliberately causes issues for her to make her leave the house so that he can have full ownership. At times she cries in my office describing the hassles that she is undergoing. We work with her emotions and feelings related to the goings on. A few months later, as she becomes emotionally stronger, miracles start to happen. One fine evening when she returns home from work, her husband is gone- lock stock and barrel. A few days later, she gets a promotion in her job that she always wanted to have.
These people were heroes. Not necessarily for the public but for themselves. They had faith on the process and on themselves. They had discipline and they had patience. These are the hallmarks of all miracle doers. No miracle has ever been done without someone not adhering to these principles. You can be there too.
When you are in the throes of suffering, it looks like that it is never ending. But it ends. AND it can be processed to end sooner. This is a secret that is open but no one tells you. When I had learnt the science and the art of changing lives, I realised that there is a pattern to it. There is a pattern to bring about change. Manipulating the pattern can produce desirable and undesirable results. It is all Science. It has all to do with our Autonomic Nervous System and our Limbic System. They control our thinking and behaviour. Science is the knowledge of experimentation and getting results. These results are initially observed and then they become predictable as you do them repetitively. This makes you a hero if you can do the predictable in so called unpredictable ways.
If you dare to challenge yourself, you are invited to this journey of emotional exploration with coaching and change your life for the better. You can start with a question and then we can follow from there.
